Next week we will begin working on spring assessments with the children and preparing for "Parent Teacher Conferences." We will have details at the end of April.
What a busy week! This is our last week talking about Penguins. We did some fun St. Patrick's Day activities. There was a leprechaun hiding in our room and the children had a fun time looking for him. We played "Shamrock Bingo". There was gold and green coins and rainbow rice in the sensory table. The children had to match the uppercase letters to the lowercase letters on the coins. (But they really spent more time just playing hiding the coins in the rice). The children also did a "Pot of Gold" art project then told stories about leprechauns and gold. These will go in their portfolios.
Here are a few highlights from this week's small rotations!
- Writing letters & numbers using the dry erase boards
- Completed our letter "M" workbook page
- St. Patrick's Path Game
- Three step sequencing: offers a fun and effective way to learn sequencing skills. (EX.) What happens in the beginning, middle, and end of each story. The children has to put them in order.
- # 6 "Six Lady Bugs" in our workbook page
- Letter "M" practice pages
- Missy Mouse Coloring with dot "M" with stampers
We hope we are able to catch him on St. Patrick's day!
