Letter of the week: "R"
Theme: Valentine's Day. We will also be doing some "rainbow" activities to correspond with letter R.
Friday: Valentine Party and card exchange. See note in your child's cubby. The party will be from 9:30-11:00 and all of the class is invited.
The LFHS Environmental Club recycles them through TerraCycle Company and earns points to fund a variety of charitable gifts. So far this school year, with help from all the Little Scout cups, they have been able to fund all of these projects:
- Give one baby chicken to a needy family
- Give one goose to a needy family
- Give ten honey bees to a needy family
- Adopt one acre of wildlife land
- Give clean water to six people for a year
- Help provide one meal to 10 Americans facing hunger
- Reduce 150 pounds of carbon from the atmosphere
- Adopt 5400 square feet of wildlife land
The environmental club now has 3,000 points to use for additional gifts.

we celebrated our
100th day of school!
The children counted 100 objects and made them into some really awesome projects. They had lots of fun showing and telling about their projects. We also made 100 day hats on which they stamped ten dots on 10 paper strips that we attached to the hats.
