We read several books about Chinese New Year. On Friday we watched a video about Chinese New Year. In it we saw parades with dragons and Lion Dancers. We cut and painted to make paper lanterns. Many of the children have been creating dragon faces with material in our art bin.
Offers children endless ways of learning about shapes, colors sizes, and fractions. Your child will strengthen his/her thinking skills, fine motor development, and creativity as he/she designs many different figures and patterns.
Sticking the pictures in the pie that begin with the /p/ sound.
If the child chose a picture that did NOT begin with /p/
they told the letter sound that they heard.
In the pizzeria shop the kids are learning through play. The shop is full of reading experiences too! The kids are reading signs, pizza ordering, labels, and serving others.
The children were able to spell out their names using foam stickers letters and sticking them onto a pre-cut paper plate hat.
