- Begin Number 5
- Theme: Penguins
- Tuesday- Music with "Grandma Mack"
As always, it has been a busy week!
Monday:
During small group rotations we used the wood pieces to review the letters we have learned this year. We used a Venn diagram and arctic animals toys to show which animals live on land, which live in water, and which spend time on both land and water. We also did puzzles with Miss Yulissa.
During center time our p-week "Pizzeria" opened for business. Here are some photos:
We started the day with a /p/ game of "Pass the Pumpkin". The child who was holding the pumpkin at the end of the song reached in and took out a picture of something that begins with /p/.
During small group rotations the children did a worksheet to practice writing the numeral 4. Next week we move on to 5. They played "Arctic Animal" Bingo. And at 2 of the rotations they worked on parts of an "In Arctic Waters" art project. At large group time wE worked on numeral recognition (1-20) by guessing behind which of the numbered ice bergs the polar bear was hiding.
The small group rotations were:
- Arctic animal ten frames
- Painting the last part for the "Arctic Waters" art project.
- 100th day coloring page
- Pink Playdough Pie (listening for the /p/ sound) Pictures below.
